Polarizer
« on: September 21, 2005, 11:08:16 am »

Sorry that I am asking such a basic question, but I've never used a Polarizer.
On a digital camera does a polarizer give you any benefit?  Can I just get away without it in RAW?
What situations do I want to use it in? What weather?

Thanks for any tips

Read this article. Digital or film camera makes no difference.

The article is very good for landscapers.  Other photogrpahers might be interested in polarizing the light source(s) and/or the camera.  You can get some useful and interesting effects.
