ACR 8.5 and Wacom Intuos series does not collaborate well
« on: June 22, 2014, 05:28:33 pm »

After upgrading to ACR 8.5, based on the latest CC update, I encounter a delayed reaction of the sliders in ACR opened in Photoshop when using Wacom Intuos Pro and Pen&Touch. All sliders react only with a remarkable delay and they need to be moved to their extremes before they can be moved to the intended position. Moving a slider just a few digits to the left or to right does not work. Using a the mouse works without problems.

Anybody else with this behavior of the Intuos tablets and ACR 8.5.

By the way, LR 5.5--which is also based on ACR 8.5--does not show this strange behavior. Previous ACR versions did not show this behavior either.

Thomas

P.S.: Windows 8.1 64bit, latest Wacom driver

No problems with my Wacom intuos. Windows 7 Professional. Have you tried rolling back the driver?

stamper, good idea, and pretty easy to perform. And, it seems to solve the problem. Sliders in ACR 8.5 move smoothly again :-)

Thanks for your quick and helpful reply.

Dementi. It did not work in the "long run". When the driver was freshly installed it seemed to work. Finally, it doesn´t.

I hope that either Wacom or Adobe will fix it...assuming its somewhere in the software coding of ACR or the Wacom driver, probably interfering with Windows 8.1...
