This seems to be a lot of money for a specialty item.  Are you just looking at the bare bones unit or one of the options with storage?  Is it because you need the Blue-Ray burner?

Yes, I did.

Indeed, the combination of the blursy writer, the firewire port, the USB ports with charging capability and the internal SSDs is pretty tempting.
