Please be aware that an experienced engineer has advised that the above error code necessitates the replacement of 2 no., printer heads (at very considerable cost here in UK).
The printer (whilst used intermittently) is housed within a log cabin studio with relative humidity usually greater than 40% and an Epson 3800 has had no problems whatsoever with clogging. The helpful engineer further advised that the Canon printer should be used neither too little nor too much, should be left on permanently and, when appropriate usage was established (a "grey area" difficult to define), the printer heads would "soldier on" for years.
In order to preclude such replacement, I note that third party anti-clogging solutions are available and I should, therefore, be pleased to receive any advice re., experiences (favourable or otherwise) with such kits.
