Crater Lake National Park
« on: June 17, 2014, 11:39:07 am »

I am going to Oregon and Washington mid- to late- July and plan to spend a day/night at Crater Lake NP. I would like to do some night photography. Anyone recommendations for good night photo locations. Thanks!

I have seen some great night photos taken at Crater Lake. You may check with the park they had someone doing a night class at the park this summer.
Hope this helps.Ross

There's a viewpoint on the west rim that offers a good view of Wizard Island in the foreground and is situated such that car headlights are not an issue.  42.94611,-122.16875  The only artificial lights you will encounter are the lights from the lodge which are roughly 3 miles to the south and aren't very bright.
