Hello all,
I have the new Mac Pro and I'm adding a 4k monitor to it. However, I'm not sure if I should use a displayport connection or HDMI.
I'm getting the Samsung 28" LED LCD 4K UHD Monitor...for those interested. It has two 1.4 HDMI connections, and one 1.2 displayport connection. The Mac Pro has one 1.4 HDMI and six Thunderbolt mini Displayport connections. Correct me if I'm wrong.
So would a standard Displayport to mini Displayport cable do the trick? Is there a special type of cable I should be looking at for 4k resolution? Or should I just grab the HDMI and call it a day? That would rob my one HDMI connection though.
I'm a bit confused on all of the cable protocols and was hoping someone could clarify and break it down for me.
Thank guys!
