Printing problem
« on: June 11, 2014, 02:47:04 pm »

I am using an Epson 3880 printer with the Epson K3 ink and printing on Epson Exhibition Fiber 13x19 paper.
I printed the image without a problem, when I attempted to print it several weeks later I got gray banding in the dark portions of the image. what am I doing wrong and how do I correct it?
Thanks

Did you do a nozzle check before you printed several weeks later?

Does sound like a plugged nozzle.

Mine (Also a 3880) will plug the Matte or Photo Black if I do not switch between them often (Week or two at most.).  Nature of the beast I guess.  I have had the vivid magenta plug as well.  One black plugged so bad all I got was cyan everywhere which makes me think Epson is mixing colors for one of the blacks?  Dunno.
