Ilford profiles back online
« on: June 05, 2014, 08:02:35 am »

Hi,

I "accidentally" just surfed by the ilford.com site.

New look, also for the profile download login - and the download worked just fine for me:-)

I don't know if all the downloads work. For the Epson R2400 it certainly did:-)

Cheers!

Thanks for the heads-up. Worked for me also (as opposed to more recent attempts).

The move ensures continued availability on a worldwide basis of the Ilford Galerie Prestige and Omnijet ranges, with existing ICC profiles

Interestingly contradicts widely believed conventional wisdom that only the name will actually survive.  Time will tell  :-\

Sounds promising if true.  It'll be nice if they do resurface with their Galerie Prestiige lineup (Gold Silk) since so many were looking for a substitute.

I also managed to snag a profile off the new ilford.com website.  Seems I had an account with them at one time and it took it.

I received the following in an email yesterday from Image Science here in Australia.
"You may have heard the good news about the future of Ilford - excellent news, really, particularly for us here in Australia! After experiencing financial troubles late last year, Ilford have been bought by Australian photographic wholesalers C.R.Kennedy (with Japanese company Chugai Photo Chemicals Co. Ltd) - meaning one of photography's oldest and most respected brands has found a safe, new, and very local custodian!"
