Poppy's sex organs

The flower, that is! Stamens and carpel of a red poppy. FWIW, this is a 1100 x 1000 crop from a 4592 x 3448 original and shows the great optical quality of this lens: Olympus 50mm f/2 ED macro on Panasonic G3.

Judging lens quality from a web based image is an exercise in futility.    ;)

Surely if the lens had been of poor quality then likewise the image would have been the same? As it is the image is a fine example of flower photography. Methinks you are jealous? ;)

I disagree, at least when it comes to sharpness. An unsharp image could be from a bad lens or bad technique, but a sharp image - easily visible on the web - cannot come about without a sharp lens.
