Pentax 645D Euro 5000 (tax inc) in Europe, here to stay.

Saw the Z today. Solid but not fun, totally unsexy. Focus points grouped around center, finder image looks *small*. Focus is fast, even in fairly low light. Firmware not yet fully done.

The interesting news is that the D is staying in inventory, at E5K including taxes, which means discounted ones are possible and used ones should soon be floating around at E3K.

I think digital MF just went mainstream.

There's a rumor today that Sony will release a sub $1K full frame body.
If true, full frame will become what is was before digital. That is everybody's workhorse. And the same of course will happen to MF.
This would also mean that we are going to see bigger sensors than 41X53 very soon.
