LAB, sRGB, Adobe RGB, Kodak ProRGB.
« on: June 03, 2014, 09:46:57 am »

Through the reading, I had the impression that the color pallette should have as wade color range as possible.
In this sense I thought Kodak ProRGB is better than Adobe RGB, and Adobe RGB is better than sRGB.
besides RGB, i also thought LAB has the widest color range of all. But I have not used it yet due to the difficulty and my lack of knowledge.

I use both Phocus and LR, Phocus for the cameras it supports, and LR otherwise. i stay with the RAW untill export. the export color pallete is chosen according to the print lab. in most cases, there is no room to choose the color pallete at all, except if to print on my own printer.

What is the general expert or professional strategy in choosing the color pallete?

Everything you thought you wanted to know about color gamut

A pretty exhaustive 37 minute video examining the color gamut of RGB working spaces, images and output color spaces. All plotted in 2D and 3D to illustrate color gamut.
