GH4 video primer

Thank you very much for that video primer. It's odd how basic information is sometimes difficult to obtain.

Agreed. Thanks for the very nice overview. One thought. The transition from SD to HD meant that many of us had to upgrade our computers. The same goes for 4K.
I've been happily editing ProRes files on FCP7 for years on my 2007 MBP. Obviously I'll need to upgrade. In the meantime my workflow will probably be
-Shoot 4K
-Transcode (overnight) with Mpeg Streamclip Batch to ProRes 422
-Edit as usual.

Obviously I'll be missing out on the Ken Burns effect etc - however a new MBP will set me back 3,000 Euros!
Any thoughts???

A seven year old computer is well past it's prime. I don't really have any suggestions other than to possibly buy a used one that is faster, with more ram and able to run the latest OS and software.

I can edit 4k native footage on my 2012 MacBook Pro without too much issue, but for Multicam editing I have to generate Proxy files.
