This picture delivers a feeling of hopeless desperation. I'm rather sad to see people waste their life for a flash of false freedom und seeming independence. Another strong picture of this series.

They're on a stage, Peter. We have an open-air stage shell in one of our parks. The place attracts drifters of all sorts. Last year the city began keeping them off the stage, which is good for the stage but not good for street photographers.
