TC_2502_LAB-GRAY_SCO.cxf and i1io
« on: May 27, 2014, 10:07:53 pm »

I have been trying to use this patch chart for profile optimisation. I print the charts for the io but, when I try to measure them, i1Profiler only asks for three locations, scans one row, and stops.

I generated a chart using the random patch generator. It works as expected. Asks for four locations, and then reads the chart.

I'm stumped. I really want to see how well this works, so it looks like a lot of scanning with an i1Pro, unless someone can point out what is wrong.

Cheers,
Jeff

Works from data off an iSis. I do it all the time. Probably yet another i1Profiler bug. Or the chart for the i0 isn't setup (generated) correctly.

Thanks Andrew. I've tried with two different copies of the file so far. As I understand it, the CXF file defines the patches only, so it is more likely an i1Profiler bug. Do you have a copy that I could try? If all else fails, I can use the i1Pro but scanning seven pages by hand is not exactly appealing.

Thanks Andrew. Both the 900 and 2500 patch charts do the same thing. Get three locations, start to measure and stop on row 1. I've reported this to X-Rite but the only response I've got so far was about delta e differences between patches, meaning they haven't even read what I wrote. Back to the i1Pro, unfortunately. I'm not holding my breath for a fix.

Did you try measuring one patch at a time with the i0?

I just tried one patch at a time. I get the same result. It scans line 1 and stops. I also downloaded 1.5.0 but it's just the same.
