SLickrock Metallic Pearl profile update
« on: May 25, 2014, 01:14:45 pm »

According to Moab, the problems with the profile are due to Adobe and the publisher of the profiling software not being able to "get their acts together." This may be true and it may be Moab passing the buck, but at least they acknowledge the problem. FWIW, I have found (as someone else here suggested) that the Epson profile for Premium Luster 260 / 7900 is a very close match for the Slickrock paper.

I will say that the paper is pretty impressive. Excellent detail and tonal range and a bright, "in your face" presentation (appropriate for some photos). The glossiest surface I have ever seen on an inkjet paper! As a bonus, when one is paying $4 per sheet of A2 one tends to be REALLY careful in preparing images for printing!
