Hello,
I printed a photo using my newly developed i1 icc profile (1600 patch target on 13x19 paper), and the photoshop print dialog, which I use the ipf 6400 Print plug in, responded :
"The selected profile is an icc v4 profile. OK to continue using the OS standard CMM as-is ?"

I chose OK.
My resulting print is almost identical to the canned Hahnemuhle icc profile (for Hahn. Photo rag pearl paper).

Question:
What is a version 4 profile(I think I have read that there are vers. 2 profiles),  and what is the Standard CMM or what does that mean ?
Thank you,
Debra

Just stay away from V4 profiles, they bring nothing useful to the party. Build V2s.

Thank you Andrew, I will start my next icc profile that I create with version 2, as you recommend,
