B&W blurb LR5

Hi

I'm planning to order a Blurb photobook via LR5. It will be all B&W images. Does anyone have experience with this and maybe have some tips as to get the best results?
Aside from getting the ICC profile and proofing (if that can be done for B&W?)

I remember in one of the Lula videos about printing, long time ago, a tip was given to select the darkest colors in PS and give them a little boost before saving for print and also crank up the whites. Things like that and maybe Blurb specific tips for their paper etc?

It's going to get printed in color and the halftone process used isn't ideal for neutral B&W over large areas of the page. For example, if you printed a full page with a single gray, you'd see areas where neutrality shift in an interesting pattern.

Pointless to soft proof too.

Yea, we had some bw done for an exhibition and they were pretty sad. Greenish shift under daylight  and warm-neutral under tungsten.

I've yet to see pod book publisher that specializes in bw. Wish there was….
