I like the sombre mood of the images, and the drama. In #1, the movement of the waves just before crashing on the shore speaks of the power of the ocean.

In #2, this power is balanced by the lichens on the rocks, clinging to life is such precarious conditions.

Both good. I really like the movement in 1. Over-sharpened rocks possibly.
