Two Days in Glencoe (Day1)
« on: May 17, 2014, 10:56:06 am »

Spent an enjoyable couple of days in Glencoe at the start of May. The weather was typically Scottish. For non Scots this is a much photographed area, you could say their are tripod holes already in position but the ground is a permanent wet bog. All shots Fuji XE-1 with 14mm, 18-55mm and 55-230mm most with Lee little stopper.

All nice, but I've a particular liking for monochrome

Me too - #3 is really good.

Spectacular waterfalls, particularly the monochrome version.

I agree with lux. Splendid all, but especially that monochrome.

I'd like to see number 4 as a monochrome <hint, hint>

As requested mono image. I have taken some care and removed the huge amounts of clarity that were putting false drama into the sky. Also a recoloured version where I take the mono version and placed the original colour file on top set to color blend mode.

Color is nice, but monochrome is the real winner.

I find #3 particularly dramatic and dynamic, well done.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. I welcome criticism as well as it is one of the ways in which I learn, but I am very happy with day1 and content with day2. Photography in Glencoe and the surrounding area is a pleasure and has numerous locations most of which are well known. Anyone visiting- my tip is bring wellingtons, the area really is boggy.
