Hi, I’m having several issues with our i1 profiling software and i1 pro2 which we just upgraded too. Some background – have about 20 or so dell U2410 monitors – all are similar in age and usage - to profile, along with some old cheaper dell toolbox monitors of various models and stages of life. We are all on win 7, and all our boxes pretty much have the same hardware. I'm using basic parameters for creating the profiles which are geared for print production based off discussions, research and testing which are:
WP - 5800k
Lumin - 100 cd/m
Contrast Ratio - 200
ICC - v2
TRC - 2.2
Profile Type - Table Based
Medium Patches
Issue one – the best average DE I’ve gotten so far, is about 1.5 averages, 2.5 max. I’d like to get lower, but I would be okay with all the U2410s coming up with about the same results. That isn’t happening though. Using the same settings, I’ve gotten the about 1.5 average on 3 of the 5 boxes so far. The 2 problem boxes are for some reason always coming up at about 3.5 averages.
Issue two – Once the 2 problem boxes restart, those bad profiles don’t even seem to be recognized and/or applied, even though they are listed in Windows setting as if they are.
Issue three – when using the same settings for both the main U2410 and the old tool box, there is a visible difference specifically in whites and greys, even though my final DE’s are around 1.5 average between the monitors. This issue is for all the 5 stations that have been tested so far.
Anyone run into some of these issues? any help is appreciated.
