For love of UDMA6 - compact flash cards
« on: May 01, 2014, 06:36:50 pm »

So, as a H4D shooter, I'm limited as to what cards it likes.  My local retailers don't have anything left in their stock.  I've reached out to SanDisk.  Given that I've purchased new 64gb cards that the box said were UDMA6 but were UDMA7 inside, I'm hesitant to purchase online.

Anyone with an idea shy of replacing the camera?  I may have to go the HyperDrive Colorspace with SSD's route.

Joe,
Have you experienced problems using Sandisk's UDMA7 cards with you H4D? I've been using them in mine and have not noticed any problems whatsoever.

Hey Ed,

With all the published bits on UDMA7 not working in the Hasselblads, and my existing cards not working (ADATA, Delkin, Transcend), I'm hesitant to go beyond the initial package opening (cardboard) since the plastic is still sealed.  I'll see if someone has an open box and give it a go, but it's interesting to hear they're working for someone else.  Can you pm or post an image of the card you're using?

Thanks!

Joe,
Here's a iPhone shot of the card I am using in my H4D.
