Sneaky, aren't they?

How did you rule out Green Heron?

How did you rule out Green Heron?

By the dark feather streak under the white one under the beak and as it seems to be an adolescent not fully grown up. Also to the fact that the Green Heron has a black back and no white points on the feathers of the wings when it changes from Juvenile to Adult one.

Correct or what is pure luck ? Thanks for the question ...

I use the field guide made by Roger Tory Peterson and Edward L. Chalif especially made for Mexico and I found a Spanish version of it. In english the title is " A field guide to Mexican Birds "
