A brown pelican taken with the 1Ds and a 300mm f2.8 + 2x extender.

I like the way the bird looks from this angle: almost like a prehistoric flying dino!

When I go to the Beach for vacations, I always make a reservation for the highest floors in the Hotels so one can get the birds from top, face to face or from the bottom :-) and this one was great ...
