***(David, there is no Aptus II 22. The Aptus II series backs always were AII5 for the 22mpx.)*** I stand corrected by Steve, I was not aware of this, sorry.
A lot of information from here applies to your question:

There are several backs ALL using the Dalsa 22mp sensor in the Aptus series of backs by Leaf... More than using the same sensor, they also share a similar look. First is the Aptus 22, then is the Aptus 54, next is the 54S which was replaced by the Aptus 5 and finally Aptus 5ii was introduced. The backs were released in that order, except the 54S which co-existed with the 54 "plain" for a while, the difference between the two only being in the data transfer speed. Thus, one can judge easily how old the back is and therefore the price offerings... I say this, because it seems that are all asked for similar prices as S/H, which of course isn't fair for the later versions.

Well sure, if you want knowledge and expertise for medium format digital, then B&H. It just couldn't be a mistake.

But seriously, David, Leaf naming nomenclature is a historical landfill of fun filled adventure. There have been numerous varying regional distribution arrangements all over the world with these products. This has, at times, produced varying naming conventions over the years for the same product. The fact that the same sensor has had a home in 3 generations of product only adds to the confusion.

Leaf Aptus 22
Leaf Aptus 54
Leaf Aptus 54-S
Leaf Aptus-II 5
Leaf Aptus-II 22 (yes it was called this at one point)
Mamiya DL-22
Mamiya DM-22

And I'm sure there are some I've missed!

Think of it this way (basic, primary differences) -

Aptus (original)

Aptus S (faster)

Aptus-II (faster, + more visible LCD in daylite, new interface)

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Aptus 54 never existed.
For sure Aptus 5 before Aptus II 5 never existed.
I've never heard of DL-22.

There are three backs:

Aptus 22 - original, FW400,
Aptus 54s - faster, more noise, FW800
Aptus II 5 A.K.A, Aptus II 22, Mamiya DM-22 - faster, less noise, FW800, brighter LCD, newer UI, better colors

Check out the Wikipedia article about Leaf which has a chart of all the discontinued and current models.

The above is correct.
The DL-22 never existed, The DL-28 and DL-33 were bundles made by the US distributor in 2008, comprising of Aptus-II 6 and Aptus-II 7 and Mamiya AFDIII bodies
The Aptus-II 5 came out later on, under Phase One's ownership.
