besides the tutorials on the phase one website and you tube, is there a book that is published similar to the books published for lightroom, that goes into great detail on all its capabilities?

No book.

I'd suggest the video series from luminous landscape and/or our Webinar or in person capture one training courses or other training provided by your local dealer.

There was a book " capture one applied craftsmanship" Walter Borchenko. It came with a CD with files as used in the book to demonstrate and preset downloads.
As it is based on a version of C1 many iterations ago it is of less value today but may be available S/H for little money. Around 2009, how digital moves on, I am mixing developer from books printed in the 1930s.

That was a great book. Walter did a great job with it.

However it was based on c1v3 and the current version c1v7 is very very different.

By the time a book is developed, written, edited, illustrated, edited, rewritten and reedited to bring in the changes while it was being written, and then finally published… it is obsolete.

FWIW, for a newbie, the LL videos are awesome. Between that and Phase's free videos, I felt like I was in pretty good shape.
