Rosco ColorCoat
« on: April 19, 2014, 01:24:22 pm »

http://www.rosco.com/scenic/colorcoat.cfm?menuReturn=quickTheatrical

I've put this on a few canvas prints (not stretched, mind you). 6 months later, it doesn't seem to be doing anything weird. I can't find a the stuff mentioned anywhere... (for this type of thing). I like it because it's durable.

Here's the MSDS http://www.rosco.com/technotes/scenic/msds/coatings/colorcoat.pdf

Not sure what to make of it... Any input?

The Rosco product is great for what it was designed for - protecting theatrical flats and sets. It does not contain any UV inhibitors. If you want your fine art canvas to have better resistance to fading you should use a product specifically designed for that purpose.     - Jim
