Try the latest copy of Nikon Camera Control Pro 2. If it's been updated to support the D4s, ahve it suck images into a drop folder for LR to pick up.
I use this method with CCP2 or Sofortbild with my D3s and D800e. It's MUCH faster and MUCH more stable than going directly into LR or C1. Far, far, far fewer dropped connections, much faster pipeline from the camera and if a connection is dropped or you power off the camera, both Sofortbild and CCP2 re-acquire tin seconds once on. No need to touch LR or C1.
The separation of the image acquisition process from the processing/asset management side makes things easier to manage - albeit at cost in $ (for CCP2) and memory in having two apps running at same time.
