Parking Pads on Canon ipf8100?
« on: April 05, 2014, 09:17:03 am »

People are having good luck placing a few drops of cleaning solution on the parking pads on Epson printers and I was wondering if this routine could work on my Canon? Does it even have a "parking pad?"

iPF puts some glycerin on the head before it's parked onto the pads to prevent nozzles from drying (isn't that cool BTW? ;) )
I don't think it's a good idea to place anything on the parking sponge - it can wash the glycerine out, or damage the sponge. I'd rather ask the local service to check if there's still enough glycerin in the tank instead.
