Virtual Machine and ImagePrint
« on: March 26, 2014, 12:03:56 pm »

I have a copy of ImagePrint v6 which I used to run under Windows XP, but I'm now running Win 7 64 bit. I was thinking of running it in a VM running Windows XP. Has anyone any experience of running ImagePrint on a virtual Machine? I am no expert in IT, but I was wondering if this would work, since, if I understand correctly, the host OS handles the VM's printer interface, but ImagePrint presumably needs direct access to the printer. Any (basic  :D ) advice would be appreciated. Or would I have to set up XP in a separately bootable partition?

I don't see why this wouldn't work.
Make sure your VM Network adapters set to "Bridge" mode if Printer is networked.
USB port can be configured as a pass through into VM as well.
