iPF 6400 nozzle check printout...
« on: March 16, 2014, 03:28:32 pm »

Hi there, I'm wondering what, if anything, should be done.

In Normal Mode printout of the Nozzle Check shows no clogs.

In Service Mode doing a nozzle check, which prints double the horizontal lines, the right head, middle column, there is 1 clog, beside it in column 3 has 1 clog, and beneath it there are 3 clogs. I did a Clean Head A with no change.

 Thanks you for any advice.

Regards, Paul.

Do you see any problems (banding/lines) on printed images? Try images that have areas of solid colors matching the clogged channels.
If that does not display any sign of problem I would be inclined to believe that the service menu nozzle check is showing nozzles that already were remapped. As far as I understand IPF printheads have "spare" nozzles and they are remapped when cleaning does not solve the clogging.

Hi Geraldo, thanks for your reply.

I don't see any banding and I tend to agree with you regarding the remapping. I'll keep an eye on it.
