Lense shade hasselblad
« on: March 16, 2014, 06:11:21 am »

Hi there

the lense shades from Hasselblad are real **** :)
They are easy to block, and each time you put it, it feels like it's gonna break.

Anyway is there a special trick to get them of the lense? mine is blocked again.

thx for advising

The key to removing a Hassy lens shade (the bellows-type...not the solid-types...) is to "push" the shade toward the body.....very slightly.....and then rotate counter-clockwise.

There is a small leaf-spring element in the bayonet-mount of those shades that keep them tight to the lens bayonet....to remove the shade...that wee "spring" needs to be compressed...very slightly...with pressure toward the body.

Hope that helps...

Sometimes the little screws inside the shade have gotten loose. In that case you easily rotate the hood too far which causes it to lock up. When you get it off again make sure all screws inside are there and they are all tight (when loose, take them out, put some Loctite on them and screw them back in).

When putting the hood on watch the little white arrow, it needs to be lined up with the white dot on the lens.

even if used correctly they are not fitting in the price category. poor engineering. a simple casonikon concept would do.

Hi Guys,
my lensshades are waggling. They are not really tight on the lens. Do you have this problem too?
