Schneider Xenotar 100mm 2.8, 117mm IC
Fast Lens for Tech Camera? I got a chance to grab this one the other year but have not ventured into tech camera (yet). The thought was to put it into Alpa or similar mount but I prefer to sell it at this point. My newer 80/2.8 Xenotar is literally glued to my Hy6 since it is best lens I have ever owned. Also older Xenotars have reputed magical rendering.
This 100/2.8 is same optical formula as the for legendary 150/2.8 for 4x5, but is for 6x9 format with a 117mm image circle. Rare latest version of this lens in original Schneider box. Please see photos. S/N 12 638 939 makes it ~1975 per www (dot) schneideroptics (dot) com / info / age_of_lenses
Schneider informed by email that they stopped fabrication in 1976.
Condition as shown and from what I can tell by inspection as exellent for its age;
Optics: clear, no fungus, no haze, no blemish.
Lens barrel: no blemish.
Shutter: snappy.
