Note for NEC PAxx2 users
« on: March 02, 2014, 08:16:27 am »

In latest release of Spectraview II profiler (1.1.16.2), NEC added calibration for i1D3 sensors (i1Display Pro, NEC Spectrasensor) individualy created by X-Rite for PAxx2 series AH-IPS GBr LED displays - a NEC_64_690E_PA242W_2013-02-28.edr file:

ORIGINATOR "X-Rite"
CREATED "Mon Feb 25 13:20:18 2013"
KEYWORD "DISPLAY"
DISPLAY "W, R, G and B from the original NEC PA242W RG Phosphor based display"
KEYWORD "TECHNOLOGY"
TECHNOLOGY "Unknown"
KEYWORD "DISPLAY_TYPE_REFRESH"
DISPLAY_TYPE_REFRESH "NO"
KEYWORD "REFERENCE"
REFERENCE "CS1000"
KEYWORD "SPECTRAL_BANDS"
SPECTRAL_BANDS "351"
KEYWORD "SPECTRAL_START_NM"
SPECTRAL_START_NM "380.000000"
KEYWORD "SPECTRAL_END_NM"
SPECTRAL_END_NM "730.000000"
KEYWORD "SPECTRAL_NORM"
SPECTRAL_NORM "1.000000"
DESCRIPTOR "Not specified”

If for some reason (like unavailability in EMEA market) someone uses different profilers to calibrate his NEC PAxx2, I think it's worth to install SVII just to grab this file, put it into our profiler folder with other .edr files, and add "64,NEC_64_690E_PA242W_2013-02-28.edr" line in I1D3Mapping.txt file. It may improve the accuracy of i1D3 measurements on PAxx2 displays ;)

I wonder if that might be good for the Dell UP2414Q too. I'm strongly suspicious that it uses the exact same panel and a little suspicious that it uses that exact same backlight technology too.
