Nec PA272w still at 1920 resolution
« on: March 01, 2014, 10:10:37 am »

I recently purchased a PA272w to use with my new mac mini.  It is connected via thunderbolt and DVI.  Still I only get 1920 resolution and not the 2560 that the monitor supports.  Is this issue with my video card?

You need to connect the PA272W using mDP - DP cable bundled with monitor. The passive mDP - DVI adapter doesn't support dual link mode, so the resolution modes above 1920px are not available. 2560px res is only available with Apple dual-link DVI active adapter, or any other active mDP-DVI adapter, but the mDP-DP cable is much more convenient solution.
