The tone (& obviously the content) of this forum are set by the participants. Moderators jump in reluctantly and generally only when 'Report to Moderators' notices become annoyingly frequent.
Most of us self-censor to some extent - alas that could be from fear but taste, politeness & judgment also qualify our posts. Long may that continue.
