Ontario Winter
« on: February 23, 2014, 09:45:56 pm »

Here is one from last weekend - near perfect winter days of sunshine mixed with the odd snow squall; cold enough that you don't sweat while cross-country skiing, yet warm enough that your nose hairs don't freeze.

This was shot up near the Beaver Valley area of Ontario - south of Collingwood/Thornbury.

Nice one. The subtle colour in the cloud nicely lifts it from a monochromatic image

Beautiful subtle colors.
We can see an unspectacular, mundane subject in the right light with subtle postprocessing makes it all.
Good stuff !
Cheers

Very fine job with the light Terry.  It's nice to see that snow falls vertically somewhere in Canada.

I think the subtlety of the colours contributes a lot.
