Clearing Winter Storm in Castle Valley
« on: February 09, 2014, 11:50:17 pm »

I made this image a few days ago at the tail end of a winter storm in Castle Valley, Utah.  In this image you're looking north from the bottom of Ida Gulch.  Several well known sandstone formations are visible including the Priest and Nuns, the Rectory, Sister Superior, Castleton Tower and Parriott Mesa.  Thanks for having a look.

I like the B&W for this photo, it brings the snow and sky together very well.

It's a nice winter view of Castle Valley. In fact, I like it more than the summer season. The different rock formations  are like an amphitheatre.
