Very nice Chris!
About the only flaw to what is otherwise an almost perfect metaphor for serenity is that ugly rock in the water in the foreground but it is a minor nit for a beautiful image.

The rock is indeed not very elegant but it breaks the symmetry of the refection. Other than that, I like it…

I think it would be a little boring without the rock.

The rock is an easy clone, but I needed something to give the foreground depth.

Retain the rock.
I'm a little uncertain about the vibrancy of the blue clouds, also in some of my images.

Hi Chris,
The blue in some of the clouds (e. g., bottom left) seems intense. I sometimes get clouds like these during processing and usually try and desaturate or darken them.
Your tastes may vary.

The Salton sea is an actual place. This is a flooded bonneville salt flats.

The rock in the foreground is what makes the image special.

I like this take very much. The foreground works well to anchor your image...nice movement throughout.
