The unsharp behind layer of grass is left intentional for threedimensionality - if you mean that.
I chose f-stop accordingly when I took it to have exactly that effect

Yes, it's a fine, artful effect.

But I mean that the grass-like plants are not exactly grasses, but close relatives called "rushes".

This is of no consequence unless you display this in a botanic garden.

I thought you wanted to say I was rushing this image and being sloppy.
