So in this case, do you remove the rotaslide spacer from the lens to get more room between the camera body and lens's rear element ?

Also, any idea when this thing will be "available" ? Sometimes A/S products take their sweet time to be delivered. Also, I assume, we will be able to see it at the photokina ?

Since the 32mm is my widest lens, it's important for me that it fits that lens (on a Factum body). Using the A7R + my set of HR lenses would be really nice !

Removing the rotaslide ring would help.
I am still trying to find the measurement.  More soon.

The setup is designed to use digital LF lens so they can be moved.  Rise/Fall or Shifted or tilted.
A zoom for Canon or Nikon, or any DSLR is designed to cover 24x36mm Sensor, except for T/S lenses.
So there is no reason to mount the Zooms etc, as they do not allow for movement on this setup.

Many reputable lenses are larger than 36x24mm
Contax C/Y 50 and 85mm are almost 2x larger than 36x24mm and edge image quality is very good. olympus OM does, too.
Generally, zoom lens set from wide to tele, Image circle are larger. We need just select Good edge lens.

Like me, product / sometimes interior photographer needs some movements, not a 3x, 5x, 10x movements.

If we need more movements, Just use Rod. digaron or Sch. digitar, so do I.

Could a medium format zoom lens be fitted? There would then be room for movements? I am thinking about the Contax 45-90 of maybe the Pentax 6x7 zooms?

Of course, almost all medium format lenses are fitted.

I'm thinking how to set aperture contax 645 lenses.
it can do like canon eos lens.

from this camera site FAQ,
http://chiek.co.kr/list/view.php?id=6807&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=4

5. Can I set EOS EF lens aperture ?
Yes, Very Easy.
First, attaching your lens to EOS body (film or digital).
Second, set the aperture you want
Third, push depth of field preview button and holding and unmount it.
You will see your lens setting aperture.
and mount this cam.
--------

but I want to set aperture whenever free setting, not above.
so I will get contax645 lens and disassemble in near future.
I guess it is very easy and recoverable.

If possible, it's killer lens on this camera. contax645 lens price is very low on image quality.

I will test medium format lens with this cam, I have mamiya rz 50, 110, 180 and rod digital 60HR and old rodie 80mm digital lens.
But now, I have not adapter or lens board for my lenses. :-)

165 MEGA PIXELS ! test with Medium format lens

Mamiya RZ 110mm lens, aperture set to F16 with gx680 / a7r
6 shot stitching , Image Size is 105mm x 35mm
23300 px x 7100 px = 165 Mega pixel

Jpeg size is too BIG, so some compressed.

Full Stitching Test 214 MEGAPIXELS

Mamiya RZ 50mm set to F11, 4sec ISO400 (5 x 2 shot stitching)
cropped image size is 17895 x 11988 pixels. (88mm x 58mm)

front rise with stitching 5cut + front fall with stitching 5cut

Edge Sharpness is NOT GOOD.

Effective sharp image size is approx. 70mm x 50mm.

Because of Front Lens standard movements, It is difficult to perfect stitching.
It must use sturdy tripod, all movements lever locked during all shot, Cable release OR self-timer needed…

Many people wants +Y axis geared shift.
but I think it's size is more larger.
like this, below pictures.

I don't like larger camera. Just Only wants compact technical camera.

Is it alright for many photographers?
How about your think?

Hi Chiek,

I'm a photographer from Toronto, and am very interested in your setup.  Will be one of your first customers when you have production cameras available.

Do I presume than using my Cambo mounted Rodenstock lenses can't work here? I'm not just thinking of mounting, but of flange depth and distance to sensor etc.

This concepts can use almost lenses because of very short flange back.
if you want to use standard copal lenses, you can buy extra copal lens board.

short flange lenses, like 35mm lens, are mounted on rear face of front standard.
standard flange lens, like medium format or largeformat lens, are mounted on front face of front standard.

please check this camera concepts,

I'm very pleased using my concepts cam for my job.

On the "Chiek system" (great work!), does the lens move for incremental focus or is it the sensor? I would surely need the sensor to move, not the lens.

Very easy switchable.

You can select 2 types,
1. stick front(lens) plane and Rear(camera) move.
or

2. stick Rear(camera) plane and Front(lens) move. Same as Original GX680.
