Fuji 55 - 200 in cold weather?
« on: January 26, 2014, 04:23:03 pm »

Hi All,

I recently purchased a 55 - 200 for my X-Pro1. Anytime the temperature drops below approx. 40 Fahrenheit the autofocus stops functioning. Seems to me this shouldn't be happening. I'm curious about other people's experience with this lens in low temperatures.

Thanks,
Merrill

I also used mine subfreezing without issues. Mostly it was for a short period but I had it for more than an hour once without any appreciable change in behavior.

As an update I had it outside under 20F for about an hour or so and it worked well.
