But John, that's just semantics. You're simply hangin' a new label on a style you've done for a while.

I don't think that's what Andrew wants.

But I don't know what Andrew really wants, either.

;-)

Rob, just wanted to add something to look at. Not claiming anything new. I enjoy in-camera movement and multiple exposure photography and the look, and that's why I do it.

I can almost see the moonlight through the pines...

Try using your phone and turning it sideways ;)

(In all seriousness, I did take a bunch of "conventional" images as well.  I'll get to 'em eventually.  Quite probably not in this thread :) )

Yeah, of course, and that's perfectly fine, but that isn't the point: the point is that - what the hell is the point? - I have to check - hang on!

Got it! Yes, Andrew's article. The value or otherwise of additional text. The only additional text you've used is your © protector, but hey, unless it's plastered across a face, any reasonable retoucher can get round that and rip you off. ;-) That's to what I referred.

As mentioned before, in my own case, I find the idea of going out with a wordy programme in mind is counterproductive. I prefer to be lazy and receptive, like a seasoned concubine. Later, when I finish the picture, it can come to me out of nowhere, just as did the shot, that some play on words fits! Why not? Other times, I can stare and stare at the thing and nothing materializes out of the keyboard. Which is a drag because, by now, the website's stuck in a look that I can't break, or I'd feel obliged to start all over again. So if no words comes, neither does the snap hit the site.

How complictated we can make our lives. This is fun?

Very cool mix of elements. Not least the triangular shadow which helps create more interest and a 3D effect.

I got so excited about this shot I forgot to focus on the cement. As a result, the autofocus targeted the reflected sky and the nearby cement area went out of focus. Have to curb my enthusiam.

From same walk above, I got excited and shot this in-camera beauty. So maybe I won't curb my enthusiasm after all.

Doesn't matter. Great shot regardless.

These two remind me of the lyrics in the Shaker song, "Dance Dance wherever you may be..."

And this one, where gradually I learned to see the tree from the forest, so to speak.

Multiple exposures with different motions?  (The first one is my favorite of the three.)

Multiple exposures with different motions?  (The first one is my favorite of the three.)

I think the first and third are simple double exposures with straight one direction camera movements. I think the second is one still, combined with one circular movement. Three exposures works, but depends on the simplicity of the subject matter. More than three seldom works unless you want a simple impressionist look with  minute micro-movements. This latter technique works really well with film and the look cannot be replicated in digital.

It seems to be getting crazier and more psychedelic, even for your standards... ;-)
