Fuji GFX, CO 60/4:

Another variation on the same theme. My problem with this series is that it's hard on my back. I can capture images for 20 minutes, and it takes me a week to deal with them in post.

It doesn't hurt my back at all to look at them, Jim.   ;)

What I meant was that sitting in front of the screen doing the work in post is hard on my back. And it wasn't completely a joke. I may need to get a standup desk.

And what I meant was that your pain is our gain. These images are fascinating.

Taking the sails out of the wind.

Nicely seen. Your title reminds me of an expression I learned about dealing with confrontational and angry personalities (specifically the teenage phase of it). It was stated more personally as "take your sails out of their wind".  :)

Thanks. I do enjoy that analogy. I also moved the camera during exposure. So you can see what appears to be light jitters in the water is in fact  camera movement.

Playing with colours again. White and/or black can often ruin in-camera motion images. This area of white in first image is certainly close to ruining the image:

Had a look at the article "So it goes" by Andrew Molitor. Very interesting and thoughtful piece. It gave me impetus to post and call these "a walk on the wild side" - at least in photographic terms.

But John, that's just semantics. You're simply hangin' a new label on a style you've done for a while.

I don't think that's what Andrew wants.

But I don't know what Andrew really wants, either.
