Sorry, Slobodan. I don't have an I-phone (or any kind of I-thingy). Good try. I'll offer you a glass of water as a consolation prize.

And, John, it's not really worth a bottle of wine, even the cheap rot gut that I buy. Glass of water for you, too.

Any more contenders?

I'll offer a free beer (but you have to come to Boston to collect) for the first person who can describe in sufficient detail the technique I used to produce my "accidental abstract."   ;)

I'm mostly a coffee/tea guy, despite the bottle of The Glenrothes (still not finished) that I bought last year in tribute to Michael), but if you're like me you were switching on your camera's rear LCD via a shutter tap while indoors and accidentally pushed too hard. Low light, long exposure, camera movement.  :)

Some of you guys, especially John R, use some fancy techniques to produce your abstract images.

Looks remarkably like multishot noisereduction. At least on the Sony it will sound 4 shutterrelease clips, but in reality it takes a lot more images in rapid succesion and uses the time of 4 shutterrelease sounds to process into a single image.

If you move the camera quickly enough, this is what it looks like. But yours was a Canon, no?

Sorry Dave.

Oscar comes the closest, so I'll save him a beer for whenever he gets to Boston.

Yes, it was a Canon, a pocket S110 which I often carry with me for quick snapshots. A couple of weeks ago I decided to turn on automatic exposure bracketing.
Of course, now whenever I use that camera, I forget that it is going to take three photos, and right after I press the shutter button, I swing it down to stick it in my pocket. Then when I download the images to my PC, I typically have one clean shot followed by two blurry accidents, which I then delete.
This one I thought looked like a mildly interesting abstract.

Note to self: Stick a label on top of the camera reminding me to wait for all three shots...   :D

OK. 2 AM tomorrow, at my club house. And since it's my beer, I play the part of the President, following Trump's Rules of Order (Anything I say is True, regardless of factual content, even if my next statement contradicts the first, in which case both are True, etc. ...)    ;)

P.S. To fit this thread, it may be a very abstract meeting.

Overprocessed rust can lead to abstract compositions.

I did manage to get a few shots before the blossoms and the new greens disappeared.

Looks good in colour, but more effective in BW, as it reduces elements to lines, shapes, light and shadow.

I much prefer what I call the Cambridge (or Yale) comma.
It involves, inserting a comma, wherever, you feel li,ke it, but especially after the word "and,"   :D
