Been looking at JMR pictures too often, so obviously this happens: 30 exposures of a Dandelion.

I uploaded a large file, because you have to see the actual pixels to believe it...
I love it!
It does seem a bit like the Essence of JMR.   ;)

Of course it's bigger. I didn't mean to suggest that it actually is a slinky. It being an abstraction, it just reminded me more of a slinky than a wormhole. But that may be a direct result of lack of wormhole memories on my part. ;-)

No, a little Sony WX350. handheld, deliberately moving. Then stacking the images in post.
Oscar, did you have to align every image, or did you just stack as is? I kept this link to try stacking about 50 images for a very impressionist image. But I have hard time bringing myself to take fifty separate images!

No, I didn't align every image but there is not too much difference between position in shots. I used burst mode and shot 10 pictures with each burst which takes about a second. I moved and rotated slightly during the shots, figuring that a single subject would possibly work best with slight rotation.

Aligning is possible though in the post-stacking process. Doesn't particularly take long, and would be well suited for the pictures as shot in the video. The attached image is a burst of 10 with alignment, which somewhat reveals the actual movement I apparently made.

I prefer the first. Much more impressionistic.

I was too late for the pink fruit blossoms but I did get some crab apple blossoms. You make do and photograph what comes your way. Looks much better in large format.

Jim, you have been tampering with the Universe again. It's a time fabric weave oscillating. Or perhaps someone is compressing musical notes. Wonderful!

Some of you guys, especially John R, use some fancy techniques to produce your abstract images.
I'll offer a free beer (but you have to come to Boston to collect) for the first person who can describe in sufficient detail the technique I used to produce my "accidental abstract."   ;)

You were putting your iPhone back into your pocket and accidentally pressed the button.

P.S. Ah, the lengths I have to go to get a free beer!

Maybe I will reveal all for a bottle of wine!
