I guess this one is maybe a geometric abstract landscape, of sorts.

That is cool and well composed. It is actually dynamic as it fans out from bottom, to sides and upward. Notice that there is actually a V'' shape that creates the underlying form of a triangle. Really like this.

Thanks, John. The credit must go to the gardeners for Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA. I have no idea what vegetation it is, but I'll revisit the scene later in the season when it has begun to grow, and -- who knows? -- perhaps even blossom.

Black and white can be so surreal.

I especially like this one. Has a Bauhaus-y vibe.

I knew your V composition and array reminded me of something I took a couple of years ago for a cemetery slide show. I found it. Not quite as dynamic as yours. Would need a higher vantage point to show the pattern as you did.

I see we're both hooked on geometry, John.

The bouquet on top of the headstone in yours really livens up the image.

[Regarding Mount Auburn Cemetery, "I guess this one is maybe a geometric abstract landscape, of sorts." Quote Eric M.]

This has such a spare yet powerful sense. It reminds me very much of Minor's work on the Cape, same spare and proud strength...(Hope you were able to sit with him awhile in contemplation while visiting. I often hope he knows how much I owe him for the joy that bursts within this grey dome)

Thanks, Pat.

I'm always delighted when anyone who knew Minor sees something Minor-like in one of my photos.

In my first workshop with him, ten days at his house in Arlington, his presence was with us 24 hours a day.

The second workshop, a year later, was six weekends, and I expected the intensity to lessen in between weekends, but it really didn't.
The "official" notes I took for both workshops are now being scanned and added to the Minor White Archive at Princeton University.

Gentle and lovely.
Yes love the image and the use of the soft focus technique to achieve the result. Have water in house so can't get out to take photos. These make me hanker for the blossoms!!
