Excellent shadows :)

Not quite: I think you may be confusing time warp with shadow. It's easily done.

Two From a Series on the Dichotomies of Yellowstone - the gentle reminders you're shooting in the basin of an active volcano that's overdue for a primal show.

HI,

I think the lower one has caught something quite powerful.

I watched a nature docu. once about the Yellowstone area where a bison wanders across the picture whilst the voice remarks that that bison hasn't got the slightest idea what could happen at any moment. For some reason that had me falling off the sofa with laughter. In retrospect, perhaps the mirth wasn't really about the animal at all, but a reflection of every one of us all the time and everywhere!

Not quite as abstract but the same kind of feeling exists as it did with the Buffalo.

Stunning work Chris, although I do prefer the more abstract version of the above landscape. It's a great example of symmetry in nature, and I like the subtle tones and clarity of the ground texture.

This image is one from the "I can't believe I forgot I shot that" archive, took this sometime last year from my front door as the sun rose on a foggy morning.

Our group did an architecture walk in downtown Toronto. I always tell people when the light gets harsh and creates deep shadows, why not look for graphic-type images. They are everywhere.

Very nice, Francisco.

Assuming you shot non-Leica-mono-digital ( ;-) ) did you work it in colour too?

Rob

No, the original was not too colorful, I might experiment with it

Rob: perfect title for a perfect abstract.

Chris: pleasing colors...well seen.

I really like that one, Rob. It makes you study it to see the subtlety of the differentiation between dark blue and black.

Like them both, Rob and Chris. Rob's in particular, is very abstract and makes you study the image, as Arlen said.

It's nice to see people pick up on the blue - apart from anything to do with art, it's encouraging to know my monitor is still working!
