A good example of "painting with light."

Nice to meet all of you.  Great thread, with very positive vibe.  I am new to photography, and this wonderful site, so I thought I might dip my toe in and make my first post in this thread.

Abstracts are some of my favorite images.  Here is one of a rose bush, and some fronds I did using camera movement.  Enjoy!

Somewhat abstract, but definitely a bit surreal.

Nice John!

Below are two of mine that may not be true abstracts, they are of birds.  First the feathers of a Nicobar Pigeon, and second a B&W of the back side of a Peacock.

Very nice. I like the fan-like composition and the complimentary colours. The bw is also well done. Love the luminescent quality.

Definitely. Looks like a great 'underwater with polarizer' image. Well done.

'Light Rushing to Fill in the Void'

Wouldn't dare post this anywhere else on Lula but Eric is pretty broad with his definition of abstract.

It fits nicely, Chuck! Not just a water reflection, either. A metaphor.
