A few "Street" abstracts, with (minimalist color)...

Love the little duck in #1!

How do you tell the difference between engineers and vandals in the sign ones? At least it looks like something's going to happen.

Thanks, Rob.
I boosted the saturation in the little duck and the signs, which I almost never do.

I can't tell the vandals from the engineers. Can you?   ;D

I'd be tempted to clone away the right-hand handle, and leave its repaired shadow. Ambiguity for Russ...

Just passing by like the cloud. Is that ambiguous enough?

I just love the cloud leaping from one rooftop to the other.

I didn't know the cloud was performing "parkour." I'm too old for that. How about some deep rich, grey, white and blacks.

Nice, John. Even if they are in sharp focus.   ;)

As a BW, it really stands out graphically, as in outstanding.

Love it! Rotate that a bit and I am no longer looking up at a building, but across a rippling plain with an abstract city laid out in the middle.

The music no less so.

I think it is obvious, that Bert Stern was trying to make an analogous connection Jazz music and the movement and fluidity of reflected images in water. I found it particularly interesting because I have often thought of doing a slide show with abstract (loose definition) images and some music that suits images. This reinforces for me that Jazz is at the top of my list. Second, as I often like to photograph such subjects, it did occur to me the beauty and fluidity of the imagery is best captured by video and not a still image.

You're right; I don't do motion at all, but the closest I get to what I imagine motion would do is found in simply focussing a long, manual lens slowly. Love it. It works nicely as an almost physical experience doing it with a 500mm reflex over a bay with many boats. You can practically taste the colours coming and going...

There's so much to enjoy, even if you don't make an image at all. Photography can offer such a lot of emotional buzz just looking through the lens...
