Mike, that's a mighty big cougar. Must be one of the Sasquatch variety.
I have never seen a cougar in Ontario, they are some here, but extremely rare. They were thought to be extinct here, but some time ago the authorities confirmed cougar existence using hidden cameras.
Now black bears in Ontario, that's a very different story. On my last visit to Barron Canyon, I took a hike on another trail nearby, that was only about 3-4 ft wide surrounded by tall grass and other vegetation, and suddenly (and silently) a black bear crossed the trail about 25-30 ft in front of me.
